How We Are Managed
Governance PHN is governened by a Board of Directors elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting. The Board includes two community representatives who bring a range of community knowledge and experience to inform Board decisions. The Board also has a Finance and Audit Committee comprising two Directors, its Accountant, the CEO and Corporate Manager.
Funding
Funding for PHN programs is obtained predominantly through the Federal and State government (ie: the Commonwealth Department of Health & Ageing and the WA Country Health Service). Other funding is received from industry partners mainly Rio Tinto Iron Ore and community partners such as the Pilbara Development Commission and Communities for Children.QualityOur business processes was first reviewed by the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards (ACHS) using the Quality for Divisions Network Guide on 13 September 2007 and we have received a full three year accreditation. In 2010 PHN was further reviewed by ACHS and we have been accredited through to 2013.
