Who We Are
The Pilbara Health Network (PHN) is registered under the Corporations Act 2001 and is a company limited by guarantee. We are a not for profit organisation with registered charity status and our operations are conducted via a Constitution, governed by our Board of Directors and Membership.
The Division's core business areas are:
- Supporting General Practitioners and the General Practice workforce;
- Provision of quality education for general practitioners in the region; and
- Development and implementation of innovative health programs in the communities.
PHN is an accredited organisation through the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards.
Throughout Australia, approximately 90% of GP's are members of Divisions. There are currently 110 Divisions Australia wide. In Western Australia there are 13 divisions: 5 based in the metropolitan area and 8 rural.
